Magnetic powder and ultrasonic testing
Probing for defects in load areas
Magnetic powder testing is carried out by magnetising the inspection object and applying a magnetic powder to which a fluorescent pigment or other dye is added. The magnetic powder collects around cracks and the presence of cracks can be determined by observing the state of the magnetic powder with a black light.
The magnetic powder test and the ultrasonic test carried out in conjunction with the magnetic powder test were used to observe the r-section at the root of the pinion. The gear was a suspension type and the pinion shaft was broken due to the load exerted by the output shaft from above.

Dynamic balance correction and repair
From the application of black light and ultrasound, it was possible to ascertain the causes of pinion breakage. The results can be reflected and incorporated into repairs to provide maintenance with improved bearing capacity. A variety of inspections, analyses and analyses are adapted to machine maintenance, including the various analyses required for repairs and the analysis of defects caused by dimensional and geometric tolerances.
