Balance correction of blower impeller

The client consulted on a foreign-made blower that had not been installed for some time and was not operating reliably due to high vibrations. The request was to take the equipment back to the plant for periodic maintenance, to correct the balance and to reverse engineer the shaft. As the maintenance period was short, the work was carried out in cooperation with our affiliate Kurashiki Boring Machine Works.

Accepting

Due to the surrounding environment and materials, the parts other than the fitting are showing signs of severe corrosion. Due to the short construction period, we limited ourselves to the repair of the targeted areas and drew up repair instructions and drawings to enable fabrication.

Dynamic balance correction and repair

The dynamic balance of the blades was corrected to meet the specified standards, and the shaft mating parts were also repaired to suppress vibration from both the rotor and the shaft.
